in general, wider and bigger tires will wear out your suspension and some drivetrain components quicker because the factory did not intend on making trucks that are lifted or lowered. realize though that lift kits are so much better now and suspension components and geometry are much better quality now that trucks can run their life span with the same tie rods, and such. it is a simple philosophy, you beat the crap out of your truck then of course your components will break more often just like when you add 400plus horses to your stock engine your engine won't last as long as intended. the idea is to brace your suspension as best you can and hope for the best. IMO, if you get a 6 inch or under lift i would not change any of your suspension components unless they break on you. unless you off road or do launches with your truck you dont need to upgrade. With a 8 inch lift or higher then you would need to consider upgrading your suspension parts and regearing and such. Just IMO.

My '05 has 80k on it and the drivers side hub is junk.
