You guys need to pray harder. Ran into some questionable things tonite and again my carelessness forgot a few parrts so I had to tear down the rear housing to install them.

Brayden answered my questions but my help is gone for the night. I have the trans DONE finally.

So its going in tomorrow night, hopefully everything works when its in And hopefully no more problems arise.

Pray for me again.

thansk guys.

Well everything is bolted up.

I had to tear the tranny back down to nothing again due to the fact that my P1 planetary wasnt seated in the last C4 friction.

Then I had to put everything back together again only to find my main shaft wasnt seated properly.

So I called Mike L. and he talked me through setting up a jig to hold the shaft. So I had to tear the thing down once again, use to tool to set the main shaft then put it all back together one last time, only to find out I forgot the thrust bearing that goes in before the C1/C2 clutch assembly. This was after I torque everything so off came the bell housing and out came the C1/C2 assembly one last time.

Then the tranny was finally on the jack again and with a lot of wiggling the torque converter was set.

I got the whole tranny mounted in and realized I forgot to install the dipstick tube before raising it up. I was able tilt the trans enough to get it in though.

So now everything is bolted up.

Whats left is connecting all of the electrical connectors and shift limkage as well as driveshafts. And the funnest part is gonna be the torque converter bolts, I started playing with them tonite but I was simply too tired and frusterated since I cant find my bolts and nuts for the electrical harnesses and my NSBU switch.

So Tomorrow if I dont find them Its off on a mad hunt to source some down. i only need a few.

Then figting the torque converter bolts and praying I dont break one. They are supposed to be torqued to 45lb-ft and they will snap at 50-60.

Once thats done its gonna be a slow process filling it and then its off to the dyno if I get it done in time. If I dont I am heading down to the drag strip on sunday to let off some steam.

Thanks again to Mike L. Couldnt of done it without him.

Well I had the whole thing finished at 2 this afternoon. Trans was filled with fluid and after some NSBU switch adjustment it was ready to go. It siad I was in R (race gear) when I was in park.

I got showered and ready to go t the dyno and when I came out we saw a big puddle on the floor. My buddy fired the truck up and I watched fluid pour out the new/used extension housing I got from Merchant. Not sure if it was my falt, his or shippin. Well get it figured out on monday.

It really ruined my day. I tell ya luck isnt on my side on this one.

I can say that I am getting pretty good and tearing these things down and putting them back together and have found what can go wrong and plenty of tips and tricks along the way.

Now Im down to about 45minutes for tearing everything out and putting it all back in and torquing in. This doesnt include tearing apart the C1/C2 assembly or the valvebody though.

Im getting pretty good at getting it in and out and it looks like Ill be getting even better at doing it if I have to remove it to replace the extension housing.

I really hate fighting all of the stuff to get it in and out though.

Maybe this time Ill take some time to snap some pics for a write up since I know what Im doing now.

Its really not that bad and fairly simple and fun now that ive done it a few times. Maybe I will make a write up.

Good thing is that I have run into many of the problems that can happen and can help everybody out. For everything else call Mike L.
